Allpress coffee

Even heathens uninterested in coffee will have heard about Allpress in some shape or form, as the iconic roaster has been around in New Zealand since 1986. Though it’s since been sold to Asahi, Allpress is still synonymous with specialty coffee for many of us, and its main roastery in Auckland is a great example of why. We like to come here when there’s an exhibition going on next door in the Allpress Studio, or when we need to stock up on some beans (which always seems like a more appealing prospect when you can smell them roasting next door). We like to come here at lunchtime for one of the sandwiches on offer — maybe a tasty smoked fish. And we also like to come here for a simple takeaway coffee, or a quick one while sitting out the front. I guess what we’re saying is, we like this place.
