Tianfu has become known for its commitment to proper Sichuan spice levels, which we thoroughly respect. So, you’ve been warned: tread carefully and mildly. Our go-to order here is either the noodle soup with spicy beef, or noodle soup with pork mince and chives, both with shaved noodles (although we hear the wheat noodles are popular too). The other gold, in our opinion, is the dumplings in spicy sauce, which has an addictive chilli sauce that sings with all the right notes of heat, sugar and vinegar. Be careful whom you talk to after a meal at Tianfu, though, as the garlic will linger.
