Hong Kong-style diner in the middle of town
This unassuming, tucked-away, basement-floor Hong Kong-style diner has only been operating for a couple of months and already there are queues for lunch and dinner most days — for good reason. Expect the usual Hong Kong cafe classics, like stuffed deep-fried French toast, baked cheesy pork chops on fried rice or spaghetti, but the real winners are the freshly steamed rice rolls (truly some of the best in the city) and their claypot rice. This rice dish is cooked in casserole clay pots, creating a crunchy bottom layer, and comes with your chosen toppings and seasoned soy sauce. For a bit of funk and a umami bomb, their salted fish and pork belly option is a killer combo topping. — Sam Low
