With a pastel-yellow exterior, Japanese-inspired cafe Pikuniku looks just like its name: light and sweet. You’ll see that in the Zen-like wooden fit-out, pleasantly set off by the sunny yellows, and the equally sunny sheltered courtyard — a brightness that is reflected in the brightly plated dishes. The offerings are Japanese, so instead of pancakes, you’ll find a wild berry dorayaki, a matcha croffle in place of French toast, and katsu sandos in the cabinet.
