On Sandringham Rd, Everyday Coffee exudes laid-back cool, in a way that still feels entirely welcoming. Spearheaded by Sarah and Janusz Choromanski, this is a neighbourhood cafe that’s just the right size to pop into for a bite to eat and a cup of coffee, whether it be espresso or one of their rotating selection of filter brews. The space is sun-soaked and snug, with maroon tile accents, salvaged materials and warm wood cabinetry, plus a back area lined with crates of records — which in turn offer a soundtrack to the cafe. If you’re feeling peckish, there are Daily Bread pastries and doughnuts, plus seven kinds of bagels. What’s on offer is succinct, but deciding what to order is still a pleasant challenge.
