Whether you’re looking for enlightenment, wellness or just something good to eat, Little Bird’s barely cooked food is flavoursome and acidic, with the produce given top billing to speak for itself. And now it’s open for dinner too. Most dishes relate to a cooked dish (many from various Asian cuisines), but are approximations of those dishes to orientate diners, rather than recreations or attempts at fusion – the dosa for example is a delicious spongy pancake with black beans, chickpeas and salad, full of flavour and satisfaction. As always, the juice is as good as the food, but now, at night, a glass of organic wine or beer offers a little more indulgence than the orange juice with cayenne and turmeric in the daytime.

What it offers: Shared-plate options / Good for vegetarians and vegans / Good for kids / Takes large bookings / Natural wine

A favourite dish: Vietnamese crepe with fresh herbs, pickled turmeric, salad greens, cashews, fresh chilli and Vietnamese dressing

Hours: Breakfast, Lunch 7 days, Dinner Wed-Sat
Bookings: Dinner only
Price: $
Chef: Megan May, executive chef
