Finalist, best drinks service

Is there a better spot in all the city to site a restaurant? If you haven’t eaten at the top of the Sky Tower, you’re missing out. The views, all around, are thrilling, and with the fine culinary and hospitality mind of New Zealand’s biggest international chef, Peter Gordon (pictured), behind this place, there’s so much else to enjoy too. Classy cocktails in the bar. A menu that mixes modern with retro, with the kind of panache Gordon is famous for. A sumptuous fitout. And if dining isn’t enough for you, the restaurant is on the same floor as the SkyWalk… and the bungy.

A favourite dish: wild paua butter braised on smoked mash with creamed paua brioche and capers.
