Finalist, Peugeot People’s Choice award for Auckland’s favourite dish: brisket burger & chips

Celebrity chef Josh Emett’s leading Auckland venture is a large and very bustling brasserie overlooking the finger wharves and the hundreds of cars parked on them. You look out to sea, and it’s just lovely. You look at the cars, and you dream of what will one day surely be. Inside, or on the balcony, you eat Emett and head chef Cobus Klopper’s lovely food.

There are brilliant burgers (presented above by Edmundo Farrera), superb steaks and an extremely impressive array of seafood dishes. The service is sharp, and the drinks list very, very moreish. (Look out for Madame Woo, Emett’s Queenstown eatery, coming to Takapuna.)

A favourite dish: beef brisket burger & chips.
