Estrella Damm Tapas Trail: Mikano

There aren’t many restaurants in central Auckland that boast a helicopter pad. Mikano perches over the Hauraki Gulf next to the Ports of Auckland, in a building structurally reminiscent of meccano. Head chef Feleti “Fred” Tu Akalau has been working in the kitchens at Mikano for over 15-years, and in that time has seen Auckland’s hospitality scene evolve. A natural move to shared style dining and fresh, clean dishes has helped Mikano keep up with the pace, though its setting is fairly timeless.

Mikano’s Estrella Damm Tapas Trail menu:

  • Spiced chicken cakes with mango chutney
  • Lamb meatnalls with Romesco sauce
  • Snapper bites

Enjoy all three dishes with two glasses of Estrella Damm for just $40.
