The Artists’ Dinner

Golden Dawn

Thursday, November 21, 5.30-8.30pm.

Not so much a dinner as a feast of arty treats. Back in the day Parisian artists would pay for their meals by scribbling art works on napkins. The Artists’ Dinner tweaks this idea by inviting five local artists to sell their work at Golden Dawn this Thursday – for a song. It’s all about helping us get a cultural hit without breaking the bank. Hooray. Misery, Hye Rim Lee, Greta Anderson, Paris Kirby and Karen Inderbitzen-Waller have created 20 limited edition prints to sell for $40 each. Plus they’ll be bringing along a selection of sketches, photographs and paintings to sell. Why not kick Christmas shopping off with a present to yourself? Think of it as a gateway to collecting (but we take no responsibility for an art addiction).

Update: Golden Dawn was packed for the event with many of the artists selling out. Keep an eye out for another Artists’ Dinner in early 2014. This is one dinner party we’d gladly go back to for seconds.
